Zrće Beach Festivals: Which Week to Book and Where to Sleep 🌊

The confirmed 2026 festival calendar, named clubs, how to actually get there, and where your group should sleep.

Zrće Beach, on the Adriatic side of Croatia's island of Pag near Novalja, is one of Europe's most concentrated party destinations — three open-air superclubs sitting side by side on the same stretch of beach, plus a rotating festival calendar that runs from May to September.

The real planning question isn't whether to go — it's which week. Book a named festival and you get a stacked lineup and a packed beach; book a quiet week and the same three clubs are still open, just cheaper and calmer. Here's the actual 2026 calendar, the clubs, and how to get there and sleep.

1. Summary

Season

May through September 2026, over 20 events across the season

Biggest week

Hideout Festival, June 30 - July 3, 2026

Getting there

Where to sleep

Novalja — hostels, apartments and hotels within shuttle distance of the beach

⚠️ Sonus Festival and Germany Goes Zrce are both cancelled for 2026 — if you booked around either event, double-check your dates against the current calendar below before finalizing flights.

Outside these named weeks, the three main clubs still run regular nights all season — you just won't get festival-scale headliners or the extra beach setup.

Newer additions

💡 Drinks at Zrće are genuinely affordable for a festival beach: beer runs about €3 and cocktails €6-8. Festival passes range from roughly €69 for a 3-day standard ticket up to €119 for a 5-day VIP pass — buy in advance, prices rise close to the date.

5. Getting There

✈️ Fly into Zadar

Zadar Airport is the closest to Novalja and the obvious choice if you're flying without a car. From the airport, take a bus straight to Novalja rather than trying to connect through Zadar city center.

🚌 Bus to Novalja

Buses from Zadar to Novalja start from around €10. If your group is coming from further afield, buses from Rijeka also run to Novalja, taking about 3 hours and starting around €19.

⛴️ Driving? Use the Prizna-Žigljen ferry

If you're driving onto the island of Pag, the Prizna-Žigljen ferry takes just 15 minutes with frequent crossings — a faster route than looping around via the Pag Bridge from Zadar during peak season traffic.

🚐 Novalja to Zrće: the 24-hour shuttle

A shuttle bus runs between Novalja (and nearby Gajac) and Zrće Beach multiple times an hour, day and night, all festival season. Taxis are a backup at €15-20 if you miss one.

6. Where to Sleep

Novalja is the practical base for most groups — it has the hostels, apartments, restaurants and shops that Zrće Beach itself doesn't, while staying within easy shuttle-bus distance of the clubs.

🎒 Hostels and shared apartments (budget)

The cheapest option for groups, concentrated in and around Novalja town. Book early for festival weeks like Hideout — these fill up months ahead of the actual event.

🏨 Hotels and private apartments (mid-range)

More space and privacy for groups who want somewhere to actually sleep between beach days and club nights, still within shuttle-bus range.

⛺ Camping near the beach

An option during festival weeks for groups who want to be as close to the action as possible — but sites near Zrće book out early for named events like Hideout and Spring Break weeks.

7. Which Week Should You Actually Book?

🎧 Want the biggest lineup and atmosphere?

Hideout Festival (June 30-July 3) is the standout international week on the 2026 calendar — the biggest names, the fullest beach, and the highest prices for flights and beds. Book accommodation as early as possible.

💶 Want the same clubs for less money?

Pick a non-festival week — late July after Austria Goes Zrce, or the run-up to Headliner Week in mid-August. Kalypso, Papaya and Aquarius all still run regular nights, hotel prices are lower, and the beach isn't at festival capacity.

8. Budget Breakdown (Per Person, 4 Nights)

Flights

Round-trip to Zadar, booked ~6-8 weeks out

€80 - €250

Accommodation

4 nights in Novalja, hostel to mid-range apartment

€100 - €280

Bus/ferry + shuttle transport

Zadar-Novalja and Novalja-Zrće shuttle rides

€20 - €40

Festival pass or club entry

Standard multi-day pass, or nightly entry for a quiet week

€30 - €120

Drinks + food

Beach clubs plus meals in Novalja

€100 - €180

Estimated Total

Per person, 4 nights at Zrće Beach

€330 - €870

💡 Pro Tip: Book accommodation in Novalja before flights during a named festival week — beds sell out faster than seats to Zadar.

9. Group Trip Tips

🗂️ Match the week to your group's actual budget

Don't default to the biggest-name festival if half the group is budget-conscious — a quiet week at the same three clubs delivers most of the experience for a fraction of the price.

💶 Track shuttle and taxi costs as a group expense

Small recurring costs like shuttle rides and late-night taxis add up over 4 nights — log them as you go rather than trying to reconstruct who paid for what on the last day.

Zrće Beach Checklist

  • 🎟️Festival pass or entry budget — Buy multi-day passes in advance — prices rise closer to the date.

  • 🕶️Sunscreen + hat — Zrće is a full daytime beach-club scene before it becomes a night one.
