The Line 7 corridor offers a less obvious but practical middle ground: a rail connection toward the stadium and a manageable trip back into central Madrid. Las Ventas itself is a recognisable area but station names can mislead. A hotel described as “Las Ventas” might be closer to another metro line or need a longer walk to Line 7. The disadvantage is that you may spend more of Friday and Sunday travelling to central restaurants and sights. If half the group will watch on a city-centre screen while half attends the final, the eastern option may fragment the evening. Choose it when the direct stadium route is a real priority, and check the final train or official event extension before assuming you can ride home normally after a late kickoff.

5. San Blas, Canillejas and IFEMA: match-first or airport-first

Eastern districts can shorten a match-focused weekend, but “near the stadium” varies greatly by street. AC Hotel Madrid Feria is an official Marriott property by San Lorenzo metro; it advertises neither a stadium walk nor an airport shuttle. The airport and fairground orientation may suit an early flight, while the city centre is less spontaneous. Calculate the real stadium route rather than substituting straight-line distance.

An airport hotel can be appropriate for a Sunday dawn departure, but it is not automatically a good base for Saturday night. Compare what it costs to reach the hotel after the final and how friends without match tickets will spend the evening.
