Ticketmaster published five seated tiers: £71.50, £104.50, £170.50, £203.50 and £263.50; the two standing tiers are £170.50 and £203.50. These figures include per-ticket fees. Do not confuse them with an all-in trip budget, and inspect the section and original total before committing to face-value resale. The standing age rule is 14+; 14–15-year-olds must have an adult with them. Seated admission starts at age five with adult accompaniment for ages 5–15.
🛡️ Wait for the official resale route
Ticketmaster says the sale is closed; Oasis says resale will be available nearer the shows through Ticketmaster and Twickets. Keep notifications on those official services, compare the exact date and section, and book refundable accommodation separately while you wait. Don't pay a stranger to send an access code: the registration code was personal, and the completed sale did not create a new general onsale.
📅 A Friday, Sunday or Tuesday trip?
May 21 and 28 are Fridays, making a two-night visit easy for people with a standard workweek. May 29 is a Saturday, often the simplest group date but potentially a costly hotel night. Sunday May 23 means a Monday departure; Tuesday May 25 can make the cheapest midweek hotel search worth checking. The venue and show are the same; compare the total flight, room and leave-day cost rather than ticket price alone.
4. Where to stay: three useful bases
🚉 Central Station and Argyle Street
This is the most resilient choice for a first Glasgow visit. Search around Central Station, St Enoch and the lower city centre; compare chains such as Motel One Glasgow, YOTEL Glasgow and Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre St Enoch Square by the actual room and cancellation terms. Argyle Street and Glasgow Central connect to Dalmarnock or Bridgeton. After the gig, follow the station queue instructions rather than crossing traffic to chase a marginally faster train.
🍽️ Merchant City and Trongate
Stay here if dinner and bars matter as much as a quick exit. The area around George Square, High Street and Trongate has restaurants and pubs; the stadium is an East End journey rather than a doorstep venue. Check the walk from the specific property to Argyle Street, High Street or your planned bus, because “Merchant City” listings span a wide patch. A late taxi can be slower than walking partway after a large concert.
🏟️ Parkhead or Bridgeton
A room on the East End side can make the return walk simple, especially if mobility or an early departure makes the post-show station queue unattractive. Supply is thinner and the area is less convenient for the classic West End, museums and nightlife. Confirm that the walk is well lit, that your check-in hours work with the show and that the hotel is truly within your comfortable walking range; a map pin across a railway or road is misleading.
Hold the right room, not merely a room. Compare the total for two or three nights, taxes, cancellation deadline, twin versus double beds and walking time to your preferred station. Keep only one refundable hold per actual travel plan.
5. Airport and Celtic Park transport
✈️ Glasgow Airport to town
The Glasgow Airport Express 500 runs from airport stance 1 to Buchanan Bus Station stance 46 in the centre. Current airport notices warn that city-centre roadworks can alter some stops, so inspect the operator's route before departure. Buchanan is convenient for Queen Street hotels; for a Central or St Enoch room, factor in the last city-centre walk. Edinburgh Airport can be a flight fallback but adds a separate intercity transfer and is not a Glasgow city airport.
🚆 Dalmarnock or Bridgeton
Celtic FC lists trains from Glasgow Central or Argyle Street to both Dalmarnock and Bridgeton, each within half a mile of the stadium. Pick the station that suits your entrance and mobility rather than treating them as interchangeable. ScotRail may manage queues after major events; allow time to get out of the ground, reach the correct platform and return to your hotel. A central walk is also possible for some groups, but Celtic FC estimates under 45 minutes from central stations, not a short stroll.
🚕 Agree on the return before the show
Choose a primary train and a backup meeting point away from stadium pinch points. Record the last practical service closer to May 2027, not a current weekday timetable. If your group has a wheelchair user or a tight airport departure, use the club's accessible-route map and request official concert accessibility instructions when issued. Do not plan an immediate airport transfer after an unpublished finish time.
6. A realistic two-night Glasgow itinerary
🧳 Arrival day
Check in centrally and keep the first meal near the hotel. Walk the Merchant City, browse Buchanan Street or head to the Barras if its opening hours suit your dates. For a Friday show, move this sightseeing to Saturday instead. Settle the ticket account and wallet instructions before the group leaves the hotel; mobile delivery can arrive closer to the event.
🎸 Concert day
Take a relaxed afternoon, eat before entering, and allow generous time for the train, security and a walk from Dalmarnock or Bridgeton. Richard Ashcroft is the announced special guest, but a complete running order is still pending. Agree on two meeting points: one inside only if the venue permits it, and a second outside beyond the immediate gates. Keep each person's own ticket on their own device where the ticketing terms require it.
☕ Recovery and departure
For an extra day, choose either Kelvingrove and the West End or a compact centre day; don't force both after a late finish. Leave bag storage and airport-bus time in the plan. The Sunday and Tuesday shows especially deserve a following morning that is not scheduled to the minute.
