Lloret de Mar with Friends: Bars, Beach and a Weekend Budget 🏖️
Lloret de Mar is not Barcelona by the beach. It is a compact Costa Brava resort with an unusually dense nightlife strip, a broad town beach, quieter coves and clubs big enough to book international DJs. That makes it easy for a group—as long as you stay in the right part of town and do not waste half the weekend transferring from Barcelona.
The sweet spot is three nights between late May and early September. Book near Avinguda Just Marlès for clubs, use Fenals for a quieter sleep, and add one daytime anchor such as Water World or the coastal trail. Here is the version with actual venues, distances, current transport prices and a budget you can send to the group chat.
1. Quick Answer
Best area for nightlife
Around Avinguda Just Marlès, between Tropics and the Old Town
Best area for sleep
Fenals, around a 15–20 minute walk from the main club zone
Best clubs
Disco Tropics for scale; St.Trop for three floors and rooftop; Londoner for a familiar bar-club night
Best daytime plan
Water World (€40 adult) or Fenals–Cala Boadella–Santa Clotilde
Ground budget
Roughly €300–€815 per person for three nights, before flights
The strongest nightlife runs in summer. Water World’s published 2026 season is May 23–September 13. A bargain April hotel does not guarantee a full July-style club calendar.
2. Plan the Weekend Before the Group Lands
3. Where to Stay: Three Different Trips
🎧 Just Marlès nightlife zone
Avinguda Just Marlès is the practical centre of a party weekend. Tropics sits at number 49, and many bars and clubs are on or just off the same axis. Stay within two or three blocks to walk home.
The trade-off is noise. Read the most recent room reviews and ask whether the bedroom faces the street before choosing the absolute closest hotel.
🌊 Fenals: better beach and sleep
Fenals has a calmer beach and feels less like living above a club. It is the best compromise for friends who want to go out but also expect to function before sunset. Budget 15–20 minutes to walk to Just Marlès, depending on the hotel.
🍽️ Old Town and seafront
The Old Town is best for restaurants, the promenade and a more mixed crowd. It remains walkable to the club zone, but narrow streets make pickup points awkward—store a clear transfer meeting point on a main road.
4. Hotels That Fit Different Groups
🏨 Hotel Delamar: adults-only and central
Delamar is adults-only, central and includes breakfast until noon— unusually useful after a late night. Its official site currently advertises rooms from €65, with doubles from €70, though busy weekends will be higher.
🏊 L'Azure: resort-style central option
L'Azure suits groups that want pools and a more polished hotel without moving to the edge of town. Compare room occupancy rules; several doubles can be better value than forcing four people into an apartment.
🛏️ Fenals hotels and apartments
Use Fenals for lower noise and easier beach mornings. Confirm that every guest is named, check deposits, and read the group policy. “Sleeps eight” does not automatically mean “accepts a stag group.”
5. The Clubs Worth Knowing
🌴 Disco Tropics
Tropics is the scale play: a 3,000-person venue with three rooms— Tropics, Mobys and Boulevard. It sells event tickets and a seven- night pass; you choose the first valid night during purchase.
- 18+ with original physical ID required
- Get the entry stamp before 22:00 when instructed for guaranteed re-entry
- VIP prices vary by date and artist and are quoted at the venue
✨ St.Trop
St.Trop has operated since 1962 and currently advertises three floors, nine bars and a sky terrace. It works when the group wants different music zones without splitting across separate venues. Find it at Baix de la Riera 16.
🎸 Londoner and the smaller venues
Londoner is the easier bar-to-club option for British groups; Bumper's and Privée add alternatives when the headline event at Tropics is not your music. Check the current weekly calendar rather than committing to the same club every night.
Lloret’s council set a temporary maximum closing time of 05:30 for discotheques and dance venues from August 7 through September 15, 2026. Do not build the plan around outdated claims that every club runs until sunrise.
6. Daytime Plans That Are Actually Nearby
🌊 Water World
Water World is just outside town on the Vidreres road. The official 2026 adult price is €40, and groups of at least 25 can access separate rates. In peak season it opens at 10:00 and attractions close at 18:00, with the park closing at 19:00.
🏖️ Lloret Beach vs Fenals
Lloret Beach is easiest for the Old Town and a quick swim. Fenals is the better half-day beach when the group wants more space and a calmer reset. Do not leave phones and wallets unattended while the whole group goes into the water.
🌿 Santa Clotilde and Cala Boadella
Walk or taxi from Fenals to the Santa Clotilde Gardens, then continue toward Cala Boadella. It is the photogenic, low-cost counterweight to a weekend otherwise built entirely around Just Marlès.
⛵ Costa Brava catamaran
A coastal catamaran is the obvious group splurge, but compare the exact departure point, duration and drinks policy. “Boat party” can describe everything from a relaxed swimming cruise to a full DJ event.
7. A Three-Night Lloret Itinerary
🚌 Day 1: transfer, seafront and club sampler
- Take the direct Barcelona Airport bus or a pre-booked minibus
- Walk the seafront and Old Town before dinner
- Start on Just Marlès and finish at Londoner or a smaller venue
- Save Tropics for the night with the strongest event
🏄 Day 2: Water World or catamaran, then Tropics
- Choose one headline activity—not two rushed ones
- Return for food and a two-hour reset
- Check Tropics event details and ID rules
- Arrive early if your ticket requires an entry stamp
🌿 Day 3: Fenals, gardens and St.Trop
- Late breakfast, then Fenals Beach
- Walk Santa Clotilde Gardens and Cala Boadella
- Final group dinner in the Old Town
- St.Trop for three floors and the rooftop
8. Getting There Without Losing Friday
✈️ Barcelona El Prat
Moventis runs a direct airport-to-Lloret service. Its dedicated airport page currently advertises a 1 hour 30 minute journey for €12.90 with Wi-Fi. Check the date-specific timetable before buying flights; late arrivals may miss the useful departures.
🛬 Girona Airport
Girona is geographically much closer and can save a large group considerable transfer time. The catch is a smaller flight network. Compare the full door-to-door cost, not just the airfare.
🚐 Private minibus
For eight or more travellers landing together, request a fixed minibus quote. Store the terminal, flight number and lead passenger phone in the shared plan so arrival-day confusion does not become three separate taxis.
Do not route through central Barcelona unless the city is part of the trip. Airport → Barcelona centre → Lloret adds a transfer and consumes the part of Friday you paid to enjoy.
9. What to Pack
Lloret weekend essentials
- 🪪Original physical ID — Tropics explicitly requires it for 18+ entry.
- 👟Club-ready shoes — Plus sandals for the beach—not one pair for everything.
- 🧴Sunscreen — Especially for Water World and boat days.
- 🔋Power bank — Keep tickets and the transfer plan accessible.
- 🩹Basic recovery kit — Plasters, rehydration sachets and pain relief.
10. Weekend Budget
Accommodation
Three nights in shared rooms
€100 - €270
Airport transfers
Direct bus or split minibus
€26 - €75
Food
Three days of meals
€75 - €165
Nightlife
Three nights of entry and drinks
€75 - €180
Day activity
Water World, cruise or gardens/beach
€5 - €70
Local extras
Taxis, lockers and snacks
€20 - €55
Ground budget
Per person for three nights, before flights
€301 - €815
💡 Pro Tip: The direct airport bus and a walkable hotel protect the budget more than chasing drink promotions. Collect fixed costs before booking and split variable costs daily.
11. The Rules That Keep the Weekend Good
✅ Choose the headline night in advance
Pick the Tropics or St.Trop event everyone cares about, then keep the other nights flexible.
💶 Collect fixed money first
No activity, transfer or VIP booking is final until every traveller has paid their share.
📍 Use a reunion point
Just Marlès gets crowded. Pin the hotel entrance or another well-lit landmark before going out.
🤫 Do not move the club into the hotel
Respect noise rules, deposits and other guests. Losing the rooms ruins more than one night.
